John Travolta and wife Kelly Preston have donated R70 000 rand to the Nelson Mandela Children's Fund.
The "Hairspray" star, Preston and their daughter Ella spent Saturday afternoon with a group of children the fund has supported at the organization's Johannesburg headquarters.
The children gave a drum concert and serenaded the family with a poem titled, "Eyes in the sky, foot on the ground." Travolta later showed off a few dance moves.
Casually dressed in a black jacket and white T-shirt, Travolta talked about the importance of family life. He says, "Children keep you humble. Children keep you grounded."
Travolta, a spokesman for Australian airline Qantas, will stay a few days in South Africa to support Australia's World Cup team.
