Los Angeles police have confirmed that a Mercedes Benz which Charlie Sheen had left parked in his driveway was found crashed off exclusive Mulholland Drive in the early hours of Tuesday.
Firefighters searched the car and surrounding areas, but no-one was believed to have been inside when the car left the road.
The circumstances of the crash were almost identical to an incident in February, when the wreckage of a Mercedes stolen from Sheen's home was found crashed off the same bluff on Mulholland Drive.
Sheen is currently awaiting the outcome of criminal proceedings in Colorado concerning a domestic violence charge.
The star of hit sitcom "Two and a Half Men" and films such as "Platoon" and "Wall Street" faces a jail sentence for an incident on Christmas Day where he allegedly held his wife Brooke Mueller at knifepoint.
