Britney Spears won't be investigated

The child abuse investigation into Britney Spears has been dropped after the 'Toxic' singer faced allegations by her former bodyguard Fernando Flores she was an unfit mother to her two sons.

The Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services has decided there is no case for her to answer. A source told RadarOnline.com: "The department said there was absolutely no truth to the accusations. Sean and Jayden's paediatricians submitted documentation that the boys were healthy and that they have never seen any signs of abuse. The case was officially closed after the department received that information from the boys' doctor."

Social workers visited Britney's home after Fernando alleged she had been beating one of the boys with a belt and giving them both foods they were allergic to. At the time an insider close to Britney branded the claims "absolutely outlandish and absurd" and insisted the singer "would never lay a hand on either one of her sons, she loves them so much".

The boys currently divide their time between Britney's home in Beverly Hills, California, and their father Kevin Federline's house.
