Peugeot has released first pictures and scant details of its new 508 which will go on sale in Europe at the beginning of 2011.
Apart from a completely new design the 508 will feature a new-generation of e-HDi and HYbrid4 technologies. It will be produced first in France for the European market, and then in China, the world's leading car market.
The 508 will be available in two body styles: saloon and SW. Peugeot says the 508 is a modern, next generation vehicle, perfectly attuned to the aspirations of customers who have moved with the times: being dynamic, responsible, and increasingly demanding.
Under the bonnet, says Puegeot, the 508 benefits from engines that are particularly well positioned in their categories in terms of performance and responsiveness, but also for fuel consumption and CO2 emissions.
The cars will be presented to the public for the first time at the beginning of October at the Paris Motor Show.
