Ahead of the official unveil at the Paris Motor Show on September 30 Lotus Cars has announced the latest evolution of the award winning Evora, the Evora S and Evora IPS (Intelligent Precision Shift) option.
The Evora S has a 257 kW 3.5-litre V6 engine and comes with a sport pack as standard featuring a "sport" button, which allows the driver to control throttle response and activate the exhaust by-pass valve to give a sportier sound.
The sport button also raises the rev limit and changes the dynamic stability control settings. There are cross-drilled brakes for improved cooling and a head-up display for the instruments.
It comes with a mid-mounted supercharged V6 producing 257 kW at 7000 r/min and 400 Nm of torque at 4500 r/min, a six-speed manual gearbox, and does zero to 100 km/h in 4.8 seconds and on to a top speed of 275 km/h, while returning combined fuel consumption of 10 litres/100 km.
In addition to the Evora S, Lotus is offering the IPS (Intelligent Precision Shift) automatic six-speed gearbox with Lotus-developed transmission control, mated to a 206 kW engine.
The driver can switch between manual paddle shift and automatic drive modes.
The 0-100km/h time is 5.5 seconds and top speed 248 km/h while combined fuel economy is 8,8 litres/100 km.
