Vettel wins in Spain

Germany's Sebastian Vettel won the European Grand Prix in Spain on Sunday as Red Bull team-mate Mark Webber suffered a spectacular crash.

Pole-sitter Vettel, 22, dominated the race to finish ahead of McLaren's British duo Lewis Hamilton and Jenson Button.

Australian title contender Webber looked to have had a lucky escape after suffering a spectacular crash early in the race.

The 33-year-old's Red Bull somersaulted and flipped over on lap ten of the 57-lap race after running into the back of Finn Heikki Kovalainen.

Webber appeared to walk away from the wreck of his car unhurt and was taken away in the medical car as a precaution.

However, he had had a dreadful start slipping down to ninth and then pitted to be near the rear of the field when he had his crash.
