Set to launch in November, the Sandero Stepway is poised to take up the mantle of flagship model of Renault South Africa's Sandero line-up.
It is the only crossover model in the AB entry level segment, and boasts best-in-class interior space and value for money.
It is 20mm higher than current Sandero models, and has different styling cues which include satin and chrome trim, front fog lights and black bushplate headlamps - all of which combine to give the Stepway an SUV look.
Like other Renault Sandero models the Stepway will be manufactured at Alliance partner Nissan South Africa's Rosslyn production plant.
With an additional R6-million already invested in extra tooling on the chassis line as well as upgrades in the body shop and trim departments, production of the new model kicks off later this year.
The locally manufactured Sandero Stepway is due to go on sale in South Africa in November.
