Pretoria name could lead to revolution: FF Plus

“The ANC’s plan to change the name is sending a message of a further split between South Africans,” says Jaco Mulder, the party’s leader in Gauteng. “This will encourage race division on a grand scale.”

“If people in South Africa want to live in harmony, they will have to respect each other’s culture, heritage and diversity. But the announcement from Sputla Ramokgopa (that the name should be changed from Pretoria with the help of national government) could lead to a new revolution.”

“The Afrikaner’s heritage is being treated with contempt and crime, low-quality education and a lack of services ... will lead to immigration and protest action,” Mulder says.
