A man died and eight others were injured in an accident involving three cars on the corners of Impala and Main Reef Roads on Saturday, Johannesburg emergency service said.
"It is believed that the two Sedans collided head on at 3pm when a bakkie drove into the two vehicles," said Johannesburg Emergency Management Services spokesman, Percy Morokane.
Morokane said a 34-year-old man was declared dead on the scene, while eight injured, including a five-year-old girl were taken to Leratong Hospital.
"Their injuries range from minor to serious. A five-year-old girl is in a critical condition," he said.
Accident investigators were on the scene at about 4pm and police were investigating a case of culpable homicide.
