Soccer fans can now apply for the final-match tickets of the 2010 FIFA World Cup when the eleven FIFA Ticketing Centres open their doors tomorrow in all the host cities.
“The latest news is that, 300 category three tickets will now be made available to the public for the final at Soccer City on 11 July,” said Chairman of the FIFA Ticketing Sub-Committee, Horst R Schmidt on Wednesday.
All in all 500 000 tickets will be made available when the fifth and final ticketing sales phase kicks-off countrywide tomorrow which will coincide with the eagerly awaited over-the-counter sales.
“We know that people have been waiting for the over-the-counter sales to start and now it’s finally happening. Therefore, football fans will be able to purchase tickets for all 64 matches. Upon payment at the Ticketing Centre, fans will be issued with the actual match ticket immediately,” he said.
The Ticketing Centres will start operating at 9am South African time, seven days a week until 6pm. As from Thursday, five different sales channels will be in operation.
In Johannesburg tickets will be on sale at Checkers Hyper - Sandton, Checkers Hyper - Westgate, Checkers Hyper – Eastgate and in Pretoria at Checkers Hyper - Menlyn.
Fans will need to bring an ID, a credit card or cash when applying at the ticketing centres. - BuaNews
