Proteas win T20 series

AFPSouth Africa beat Pakistan for the second time in as many days last night to take both matches in the T20 series in Abu Dhabi.

This time it was Rusty Theron that put the pressure on the Pakistan batsmen, but only after Lonwaba Tsotsobe again removed the opening batsmen.

Theron took four wickets for 27 in his four overs and Pakistan was restricted to 120 in their 20 overs.

Graeme Smith top scored with 38 in the South African innings before he was caught with his toe on the line and stumped by Zulqarnain Haider off the bowling of Saeed Ajmal.

JP Duminy added 20, but it was Colin Ingram that helped the South Africans to the winning score. Ingram struck 31 off 17 balls.

Theron was named man of the match and Johan Botha won the player of the series award.

South Africa take on Pakistan tomorrow in the first of five one-day internationals.
