Sehwag and Sachin punish South Africa

big_imageThere is a fair bit of trouble for South Africa in Kolkata with Sachin Tendulkar and Virender Sehwag smashing the ball to all corners of Eden Park on the second day of the second Test against South Africa.

Sehwag, especially, is in top form and has passed the 100 mark for the 19th time in Test cricket. He is offering chances to the Protea fielders still and JP Duminy will rue the dropped catch at slip before Sehwag had 50. The opening batsman now has 120 off 106 deliveries.

At the other end, however, Sachin Tendulkur is in spectacular form. The little master has not looked troubled by the South African bowling and he has 63 runs.

South Africa scored 296 in their first innings. India now has 223 for two in their first innings. India needs to win to keep their position as the top side in world cricket.
