The South Africans should have the edge in the Boland today, but changes and additions after the Test series should keep the spectators in Dal Josaphat interested throughout the day-night clash.
AB de Villiers takes the reigns as ODI captain for the Proteas, so all eyes would be on his performance today. De Villiers seems to favour two spinners for the slow-and-low Paarl pitch, which could keep Wayne Parnell out of the side today.
On the Sri Lanka side, Lasith Malinga returns … a boost for the attack but probably not crucial in Paarl.
